I’m back in training for the Valley Forge Hand Tool Olympics

August 31st, 2009 · 3 Comments

There has been a lot of posturing and trash talk lately surrounding the second iteration of the Hand Tool Olympics in Valley Forge this October 2nd through 4th. Most interesting to me is the impending cat fight during the boring event. It seems that Megan Fitzpatrick has now roped Kari Hultman into this affair and now tensions are running even higher.

So in my attempt to stoke the fire a little, I decided to put some work in this weekend to improve my poor showing in the dovetail event from St. Charles, IL.

42 through dovetails and 42 half blind dovetails later and I’m feeling much better about this event.

Are you ready to compete??? See you all in Valley Forge and bring some plastic sheeting, this competition could get as messy as a Gallagher concert.

Nice dovetails! You’ll be ready to kick some serious butt at the event. I will be there with camcorder in hand. ; )

    Shannon,
I will be bringing a large watermelon and a beedle (commander, pusuader) to whack it with. What are all of the boxes for?
I would stay away from the boring competition as it looks to get out of hand.

Mike, I’m building a chest of drawers for a client right now so those are all drawer boxes.
